Design and Construction of the Bridge over the Molongo River at Captains Flat

Details: This project was a design and construct bridge project along Captains Flat Rd, Captains Flat. The former bridge had undergone many strengthening repairs due to the slenderness of the concrete piers. The contract required the demolition of the bridge over Molonglo River, and the construction of a 3 span in-situ reinforced concrete bridge on precast pre-stressed concrete beams. Due to the shallow location of the bedrock, foundations comprised of rock anchors and spread footings.
