Construction of Komungla Bridge and Approach Roads

Contract Period: 28th February 2017 - 30th June 2017

Details: Construction of replacement bridge and approach road. Contract entailed that an existing causeway was to remain in place during works, with demolition to occur upon successful completion and opening of new road alignment. Works included the construction of a two lane, five span in-situ reinforced concrete bridge on precast pre-stressed concrete beams over the Mulwaree River. All components of the previous bridge were to be demolished after the completion of the new Komungla Bridge.
